Mount. IKOMA Seasonal Event; Pounding Rice Cakes and Having hot pot lunch

every end of year, pounding rice cakes is a traditional family event, which dying out year by year. we will join in the rice farmers’ event in a small village in mount. ikoma in nara.
let’s make & eat rice cakes and hot pot lunch together.

we would like to share with you our experiential project to reactivate the Japanese local areas.

the beautiful Ikoma mountain close to the centre of Osaka city.
in this mountain there is a small village located on the road called ‘Kuragaritoge’ in Ikoma Nara.
kind of a secret spot, which has Japanese traditional rice fields, veggie patches, old houses & sheds, however the issue of the aging and decreasing population will cause the village to close sooner or later.

we are supporting the area to solve the issue with residents and non-residents.

the revitalisation of former rice fields and veggie patches is urgent.
we named the field ‘Moon & Mountain’ where we enjoy farming, events, sometimes art presentations.

your visit is always welcome.

let’s go up the mountain to feel seasonal gifts from nature together.
