詳細

This is the second part of our EcoBlitz event where we finish what we started the previous week.

This October, we will be implementing the planting phase of our Red-Legged Frog restoration project! We have thousands of natives plants and trees that need to be planted... and we can't do it alone! This EcoBlitz event is an opportunity for the community to come together for one big planting event.

We're planting firs, cedars, hemlocks, spruces, ferns, and shrubs, all in the hopes of kickstarting this degraded site into its path of natural succession and to provide endangered red-legged frogs with valuable habitat. These plantings will also serve to fill in areas of the park that have been used as unofficial trails, which can be damaging to natural systems.

This EcoBlitz is one of our flagship events, and will involve many community members to get it done. Come out and get your hands dirty as we inject life back into our park.

Event runs rain or shine. Dress for the weather!
Planters under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Snacks and water will be provided.
Look for our PSPS tent!
