Let's work off our Thanksgiving dinner and hike to Bridal Wreath Falls, to see if the falls are "in action" after the recent rains. This hike is rated **Intermediate**, with an elevation gain of 1,060 feet over 2.9 miles. Accordingly, you should be an experienced hiker in good shape if you sign up.

The Douglas Spring Trailhead starts just off of Speedway. The 2.9 mile hike climbs steadily, and is fairly steep, although the rock steps help. This is an out-and-back hike, covering 5.8 miles total. Our expected hike time is 2 1/2-3 hours. We will stop to rest/eat at the falls, so I expect a total time of 3 1/4 - 3 1/2 hours.

**Our expected hiking time equates to an average hiking speed of about 2 mph, which might be considered fast, considering the steepness of the hike. Please sign up only if the steepness and expected speed works for you, so we stay together and no one gets left behind.**
