Decentralized Cloud is Here (and Everywhere) with Storj Labs

스토리지는 사용자가 물리적인 하드디스크를 확장할 필요없이 대여자는 자신의 남는 용량을 유상으로 필요한 사용자에게 대여하는 방식의 플랫폼을 제공하는 방식을 추구합니다. 기존 클라우드 제공 서비스보다 훨씬 더 저렴한 가격으로 P2P 방식으로 개인간 저장용량 대여 사업이 가능해서 제공자는 수익을 창출할 수 있고 사용자 또한 훨씬 저렴한 가격으로 클라우드를 사용할 수 있는 신개념 클라우드 플랫폼입니다.

최근 Tardigrade라는 베타 서비스를 출시했네요. 아직 Waitlist에 있는 개발자만 참여 가능합니다(https://mars.tardigrade.io/).

Hello KryptoSeoulers! KryptoSeoul provides opportunities for projects to show to the community what they have achieved and what they plan in the future. Our last meetup in April is with STORJ (https://storj.io/), a decentralized cloud storage that is affordable, easy to use, private, and secure.

Storj plans to do a developer-focused presentation and general overview of its V3 Tardigrade Network. Kevin Leffew and John Gleeson will share details about the platform, focusing on its performance, security, and economic advantages over centralized cloud - as well as its ease of use for developers.

The Storj team will also give a brief overview of its Open Source Partner Program, the brainchild of Storj Lab’s Ben Golub, (former CEO and cofounder of Docker). The program provides a pathway toward open source monetization that doesn’t require new licensing models. End users of open source applications simply connect to the Storj network to take advantage of its enhanced privacy, security and resiliency.

Finally, the team will touch on Storj’s highly-anticipated Vanguard alpha release, which allows developers to register for accounts on Satellites and get API credentials to develop applications that use the Storj V3 network as their storage layer. Viktor will walk through the process of creating projects and generating API keys for the Uplink. The Vanguard release also includes the Libuplink developer library, which is written for Golang, and will allow developers to quickly integrate Storj into their projects.

John Gleeson is VP of Operations at Storj Labs where he is responsible for ensuring an excellent product experience for customers from trial to contract, onboarding through support, working closely with the products team to align development priorities with customer needs.

b. Kevin Leffew - Business Development Manager

Kevin Leffew is a Business Development Manager at Storj Labs. He focuses on growing the company’s Open Source Partner Program, which enables any open source project to earn revenue when its users store data on Storj’s decentralized cloud storage platform.

c. Viktor Ihnatiuk - Product Manager

Viktor Ihnatiuk is a product manager at Storj Labs. He is leading Storj’s Kiev-based development team that is focused on building front-end applications that leverage decentralized cloud storage, GUIs for various parts of the Storj network, and connectors for the Storj Open Source Partner Program.
