SWFL Cycling: Bike Rides Hub

MEET UP 7:00 PM, ROLL AT 7:30.
Grab your bike, helmet, and lights and come join the ride on the 3rd Friday of every month. We roll at 8-10 mph for a total of 13-14 miles with a new route and a new halfway point!

Parking Lot in front of old Military Museum and between Rib City and Bank of American

Here are the SWFL Critical Mass ride guidelines:
1. YOU RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Your being careful and responsible is up to you. We announce the ride, ride along, enjoy.
2. Be nice, nice works! Being nice during one of those rare situation, keeps our positive wavelength strong - even if they don't receive your kindness in the moment. If they escalate anger, kindly ride away.
3. Lights are a must on night time group rides. You need to be seen by cars and the riders surrounding you. Put head & tail lights in NON flash mode.
4. Helmets. Protect your brain and your pretty face! There are a lot of us riding, though we are careful, a bike to bike fall can easily cause injury.
5. Ride speed is 8-10 mph. If you're a slow rider, it is easier if you keep toward the front of the group.
6. Do not overtake the front of group ride leader. If you see others in front, it is because they have been instructed to do so.
7. When riding on roadways, keep to the right side of the road & allow space on the left for Corkers to pass. If you are told to move out of the way by a Corker, please do so, we're all in this for enjoyment and NO injuries.
8. Ride with consistency (no weaving) & communicate, if you're passing someone, just an easy, "Passing on your left" is all it takes. Shout out potholes, gator or other needed information to those behind you.
9. Keep the swarm of bikes tight (No more than a 3 bike spread).
10. When you ride with SWFL CM you leave your worries behind. If you want, pick them up after the ride.

Front and back bike lights are required by law (white on front and red on back). Helmets are strongly encouraged/required if under 16 years old. Please check your tires, brakes, lights and gear prior to joining this ride.

Rick Schalk leads this fun ride starting at the Gordon River Greenway, winding through the well-lit and wide boardwalk paths to Gulf Shore Blvd and beautiful Naples streets and neighborhoods, on to downtown Naples where we will stop at RIPTIDES BREWING COMPANY for a break. We will head back through the park a slightly different way.

Come out and enjoy a large group slow ride with SWFL Critical Mass!

We'll first meet up in the parking lot of the Edison Restaurant, Bar & Banquet Center 3583 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33901 to the right of the building... bordering Hill Ave.

The halfway point will be downtown for a break, then onto the 2nd half of the ride. Nice easy pace of 8-10mph.

Tailgate starts at 7:00 (though many arrive earlier)
