Here is a 'peAk to peAk Hiking Challenge' for you.

Oct 7th - Sapaesan to Dobongsan Mountain

[Hike Route]
Hoeryong stn- Hoamsa temple - Sapaesan Peak - Podaeneungseon Ridge- Y valley - Sinseondae Peak - Madangbawi - Dobongsan stn (12km/7hrs)

This hike will take roughly around 7 hours, depending on the speed and ability level of our group. The trail is classified difficult and will cover some steep and rocky terrain, and there are sections involving stairs and metal handrails. So, you must be careful and know your hiking ability. For this hike it is extremely important to wear footwear appropriate for hiking such as shoes or boots that can grip rocks and prevent you from slipping/falling, since the trails have some steep rocky areas. It should be a fantastic, exhilarating hike, so if you are ready for a challenge, don`t miss this great opportunity!

Meeting Place: Hoeryong Station on line 1, exit #3

Date and Time: Oct 7th, Tuesday, at 10:30am

What to bring : Appropriate footwear for hiking (we recommend sturdy hiking shoes or boots-we do not recommend sneakers), Clothing appropriate for the weather, Snacks/lunch, Plenty of water(1~2 liters) and etc.

Difficulty : difficult

Altitude : Sapaesan-552m / Sinseondae-740m

Distance : about 12 km

Estimated trip time: 7 hours

Want a challenge" Why not try hiking two neighboring mountains in Seoul on the same day?

On October 25th, we will go on a fun and short hike on the small mountains(Yongmasan & Achasan).

If you have never been to these mountains, they have really awesome views of East Seoul and the Han river with unique fortress ruins, ancient tombs, and stone pagodas. We will hike both mountains and come down at Achasan station line 5.

This will be easy hike that should take around 4 hours. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to spend a fantastic day with friends both new and old!

Meeting Place: Yongmasan stn on line 7, exit # 2 outside

Date and Time: October 25th, Saturday, at 11:00am

What to bring : Appropriate footwear for hiking (we recommend sturdy hiking shoes or boots-we do not recommend sneakers), Clothing appropriate for the weather (it's cold on the mountain-dress warmly), Snacks/lunch, Plenty of water and etc.

Difficulty : easy/moderate

Altitude : Yongmasan-348m / Achasan-287m

Distance : about 7 km

Estimated trip time: 4 hours(including lunch time)
