Pink Palace presents this rarely seen heart-warming gem starring the legendary Liza Minnelli.
Junie Moon (Liza) is in the hospital, after her face has been disfigured by her deranged boyfriend. There she meets two other patients -- Arthur (Ken Howard), who has epilepsy but has been misdiagnosed as mentally ill, and Warren (Robert Moore), who is gay and in a wheelchair. The unlikely trio of outcasts decide to move in together and enjoy a series of adventures as they endure various forms of prejudice and struggle with their own issues.
Expect some serious 70’s fashion, some very surreal scenes, Liza on great form, bitchy one-liners, laughs and a few tears."

It looks like Monday performances are more affordable, tickets are £10 for this.

"Set in 1916 during WWI, in the fictional town of Ramsden, Yorks, the film follows the members of the local choral society which recruits a group of teenage boys and girls for a performance of Edward Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius, a work chosen because it was not written by a German. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Roger Allam, Mark Addy, Alun Armstrong, et al.

I liked the trailer, the new choir master (Ralph Fiennes) doesn't seem able to stop himself quoting musical concepts in German, much to the consternation of everyone, but is still determined to put on a worthwhile performance. This is not a true story but historically inspired. I'm looking forward to it!

I have been waiting for this film all year! This is the third film of the Knives Out series featuring Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc the detective solving intriguing cases. I loved Knives Out and Glass Onion - the trailer for this one looks very intriguing, I can't wait!

The Forest Cinema in Walthamstow isn't huge, so please buy your ticket as soon as you can. Let's have a drink before the film, with the screening time at 7.50pm we should have plenty of time.

The Forest Cinema is close to the Hoe Street end of the High Street. Get there either via the footpath from the bus station at Walthamstow Central (tube and overground), or via Hoe Street.
