Mini Monsters & Resin Magic: A 2-Hour Adventure Step into the wonderfully weird world of resin printing, where gooey liquid becomes dazzling little creatures, trinkets, and treasures! In this 2-hour crash course, you’ll learn the alchemy of turning digital files into solid, shiny models you can hold, paint, and proudly display. We’ll cover all the essentials: 🧪 Mixing magic with safety – gloves on, goggles ready, no sipping the resin! ⚙️ File prep & supports – the digital Lego-blocks of making your model stand tall (and not faceplant mid-print). ☀️ Wash & cure rituals – because your mini needs its spa day in alcohol and UV light. 🎨 Quick paint enchantments – splash on some color and watch your creation come alive. By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a pint-sized masterpiece of your very own—maybe a fierce little beastie, maybe a tiny robot, maybe a trinket so odd it defies description. Whatever it is, it’ll be yours, born of resin, imagination, and just a little chaos. Perfect for: Makers, artists, gamers, or anyone who ever thought, “What if I could summon a mini-monster onto my desk?” Come with your computer ready to laugh, glue, paint, and leave with something no store could ever sell—because you made it!

Freeside is chock full of tools that you can use to build almost anything. With these great tools comes great responsibility, so this class is meant to teach individuals who are new to woodworking how to properly operate the equipment, and also to serve as check-off for all new members (even experienced ones) who plan to use the shop.

MIG Welding for Beginners is a recurring class that introduces the MIG welding process for hobbyists and home users. MIG (Metal- Inert Gas) is an arc welding process that uses wire fed from a spool to carry the arc and deposit filler metal, while shielded by an inert gas mixture of Argon and CO2. The class focuses on learning the fundamentals of safety, material prep, and tool use for welding on mild carbon steel.

In this class, you will learn how to prepare and set up a workpiece, set up and safely run the welder, and successfully join pieces of metal together. You will practice running several beads, and then weld small plates together to practice and demonstrate basic joints used in welding. Anything you weld on is yours to take home at the end of the class.

What to Wear (required):

• Long-sleeve 100% cotton button-up shirt (denim or flannel works great)
• Long work pants
• Leather or closed toed work shoes
• Hair pulled back
• No jewelry
