## Kokedama Workshop with Korean Native Plants

Have you heard of kokedama? It's a Japanese art of wrapping a plant's roots in moss to make a beautiful ball shape. No pot needed — just moss, soil, and your hands.

In this workshop, we'll make kokedama together using plants native to Korea.

We'll work with Pungnan (풍난), a small wild orchid that Korean people have loved for hundreds of years, and Hwangchil (황칠나무), a tree that only grows in the southern parts of Korea, known for its golden sap.

What we'll do

  • Mix soil and shape it around the plant roots
  • Wrap everything in soft Korean moss
  • Tie it up and make it ready to hang or display
  • Learn how to water and care for it at home

Good to know

  • No experience needed — total beginners are very welcome
  • Takes about one hour.
  • All materials are provided
  • You bring your kokedama home at the end!

It's a quiet, hands-on experience. A good way to slow down and make something with your hands.

  • Minimum 3 participants required to hold the session
  • Registered members will be notified 48 hours in advance if the event is cancelled.
