Do you love Excel?
Or maybe just like it (that's ok) and want to know more.
This meetup will consist of a talk from 1 or more speakers, whom will share some knowledge and tips.
There will be time before and after the talks to connect with other attendees and the speakers. More time to chat, share knowledge and help each other.
This is an informal and relaxed environment. Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, meetup with other like-minded people and learn and share some Excel magic.
This event is hosted by Datel Productions. We meet monthly at one of two venues in London. We have a venue at Victoria and one at Vauxhall.
We alternate between the two venues. Both offer great facilities for sharing knowledge and also relaxing with a drink.

In this meetup, we welcome back Victor Momoh to present on the amazing GROUPBY and PIVOTBY functions of Excel.

What to expect
This session will focus on GROUPBY and PIVOTBY, a dynamic, flexible(arguable) alternative to Pivot Tables, note that I did not say replacement.
The plan is to demonstrate the basic use of the function and move to the moderately advanced while leveraging other Excel functions and features like LET, LAMBDA, Checkboxes, and Charts. If you are a lover of aggregation and Pivot Tables, then this session is for you.

This is an online only session and will be streamed over Zoom and the Computergaga YouTube channel.

On the 19th May 2025, we will be in Milan, Italy for an in-person Excel Meetup.

The 19th May is a Monday, so for anyone looking to fly/travel in and spend a few days in Milan (like me), we have the weekend before.

The presentation will be on advanced Excel formulas and you can expect some underused hero/heroine functions and a little Copilot too (give me someone to blame if it goes wrong 😆.)

This topic was chosen from responses to a form sent to all that had RSVP'd to the event. There was a tie between Copilot, advanced formulas, and underused functions, so we will try and incorporate them all.

‘Advanced’ is a subjective term; it means different things to different users. So, just expect lots of formula fun.

If there is a specific function you would love to see involved, let me know using this form. You can also provide your phone number if you want to be included in group communications during the weekend.

This event will involve lots of Excel learning, fun, and networking.

The event will be held at the offices of Radical HR and Lacerba, who are kindly supporting us in this event.

What do a Rubik’s cube, a Galton board, and a spreadsheet have in common? For this Excel-obsessed accountant, they’ve each sparked some of her most unexpected breakthroughs in problem-solving.

In this light-hearted (but sneakily deep) session, Agnieszka Nyka shares her journey of recreating traditional puzzles in Excel—not to show off advanced formulas, but to explore how creativity, logic, and structured thinking can transform how we think about spreadsheets – at work and beyond.

This isn’t a technical deep dive, but rather an exploration of creative logic, real-world problem- solving and seeing Excel as a thinking tool—not just a reporting one. Expect quirky builds, nerdy humour, and a reminder that what looks complex is often powered by simple, structured ideas. And sometimes the fastest way to grow is to build something just for the fun of it.
