Ez alkalommal bepillantunk a legintenzívebben fejlődő AI-technológiák világába.

Elsőként pár fogalmat és alkalmazási területet nézünk meg, majd pedig csinálunk Pythonban egy saját LLM-et.
Felépítjük komponenseinket, és ki is próbáljuk, mire képes egy alaprendszer.
A szünet utáni második részben az igényeinket kibővítjük, a rendszerkomponenseket nagyobb tudású elemekkel helyettesítjük, és így építünk fel egy, a gyakorlatban is használható megoldást, egy lokális RAG-rendszert.

💻 Mivel készülj?
Workshop jellegű alkalom lesz, így ajánlott, hogy legyen nálad egy programozásra alkalmas számítógép.
A meetup előtt egy héttel részletes telepítési és előkészítési útmutatót küldünk.
Ha régebbi vagy kisebb teljesítményű géped van, akkor sincs gond – az első részhez nem lesz szükség komolyabb erőforrásokra.

Olyan lányokat/nőket, akik érdeklődnek az AI és a Python iránt, és szeretnék megérteni, hogyan működnek a modern nyelvi modellek, illetve kipróbálnák magukat egy saját rendszer építésében.

We are continuing our Study group online for the time being.

FastAPI: APIs modernas, tipadas y listas para AI

This event will feature the following presentations:

Talk #1: LLM-powered Merge Conflict Resolver
Speaker: Advitya Gemawat
Description: Merge Conflicts in software programming occur in 20% of all merges in open-source projects, incurring a median resolution time of \~6 minutes for a single conflict at best, or multiple days (from conflict detection to incorrect resolution to fixing downstream feature regressions) at worst, especially in large-scale software projects. Drawing inspiration from the scale and complexity of merge conflicts in one of the planet's largest codebases (the Windows OS repo at Microsoft), this talk will touch upon a variety of insights across crafting custom LLM Evals, Azure OpenAI Fine-Tuning, Qualitative Insights, and most importantly, the usage of multiple Python SDKs and best practices to craft a scalable LLM-powered Merge Conflict Resolver adapted towards codebase-specific conflict resolution patterns. Similar to how LLM Coding Agents transformed the SWE workflow from writing code to generating & reviewing code, this project is a natural evolution of the manually-driven Merge Conflict Resolution process in terms of reviewing LLM-generated conflict resolutions. The Fine-Tuning and Evals aspect of adapting the LLM towards a particular codebase makes the approach unique and better performant (>2x better resolution accuracy) than the AI-based conflict resolution capabilities with vanilla LLMs offered in most IDEs.

Talk #2: Design patterns are cool!
Speaker: Maria Mckinley
Description: An overview of patterns and a deep dive into the Singleton pattern in Python

We will do a quick overview of design patterns, what they are, and why they are useful. Then we will do a deep dive into the Singleton pattern. This pattern has many solutions in Python. How do you know which one fits your use case? By diving deep on the Singleton, we will get a great review of various coding idioms in Python, learn about the flexibility of Python, as well as a deeper understanding of why patterns are useful more generally. Time to remember or learn some software fundamentals!

Maria Mckinley is a software engineer, speaker, technical coach, advocate and systems reliability engineer. She is a huge fan of best practices, and thinks a lot about why they do not get implemented. Best practices not only contribute to better software, but better teams. She started her working life as a truck mechanic in the US Army, went to college and studied physics, and then taught herself how to code on the job in a neuroscience lab at the University of Washington. She left the university and started at Disney as a Senior Software Engineer over 10 years ago. She loves hiking, reading, and board games.
