Serverless functions are a popular tactic for horizontally scaling applications, but what if there was another way? What if you could auto-scale tasks simply by wrapping any existing code in a function and having that block of code run in a temporary copy of the app? That's what we'll be exploring in this talk.

**Venue Instructions**

You are welcome to park in the guest spaces on the West side of the building or in our back lot. Please enter the building through the front (on E 6th) in order to check in with Security. You will need to sign your name on a sign-in sheet on arrival. We will be cross checking your name with the Meetup RSVP list, so *please* RSVP if you are coming.

The meetup will be in a room called the Arsenal. It's a large room down the hall to the right. The property manager has asked us to stay in the Arsenal unless using the restrooms 🙂
