Join Tri-State Leisure Cycling for a very easy, relaxing and fun bike ride on the New Hampshire Seacoast Greenery rail trail. We’ll meet up at the trailhead in North Hampton NH which is behind the NH DOT Yard on Rt 1 North Hampton. The parking lot for the trailhead is at the intersection of Rt 1 & Rt 151 (mile marker #7). There is plenty of parking in this lot. The trailhead is located at the back of the parking lot and very easy to access.
To start we’ll head north towards Portsmouth over this crushed stone surface that continues from No. Hampton through Rye, Greenland, New Castle and into Portsmouth. The trail travels through woodlands, neighborhoods past a golf course and also an airfield. You’ll see the former North Hampton railway station that has been renovated into a beautiful private residence. We’ll take a short break halfway along the trail and then take a little longer break at Barberry Lane in Portsmouth. After the Barberry Lane break, we’ll start heading back to No. Hampton. When we get back to No Hampton our last stop will be the Air Field Café, You can pack a lunch or buy your lunch there and we’ll sit outside and enjoy each others company. The food is excellent and good size portions. The ice cream here is very good. There is a small group limit of ten bikers so sign up now for a really fun and leisurely bike ride with friends.

1. For safety reasons you must wear a helmet to participate in this ride.
2. Make sure that your bike is in good working condition. Any style bike will be ok on this trail
3. Alcohol consumption is prohibited during this event.
4. This is not a guided tour. The organizers of this event are not Tour Guides. We make no claims for our expertise.

NH SEACOAST GREENERY RIDE

Seacoast rail trail parking lot

We'll meet up in the commuter parking lot at Main St & Park St.
We'll follow the Topsfield rail trail and continue onto the Wenham rail trail into Danvers. In Danvers we'll make a group decision to continue on the Kristen Crowley Trail to the end or cut over to the Independence Greenway over to the Lahey Clinic area. This is a nice trail and very popular with a good packed gravel surface. It's pretty easy riding and lots of great views. It's about a 20-22 miles (r/t). We'll take water breaks along the way and an extended break for lunch and then head back to Topsfield. Hope you can join us.

Topsfield to Danvers Bike Ride (optional Peabody)

I'm looking for one or two other bike riders to bike the Northern Rail Trail from Lebanon NH to the end of the trail in Boscawen, NH. It totals about 58-60 miles. I'm figuring it'll take about 7-8 hours of riding plus stop times. I will have a friend meet us at designated stops along the way for breaks. I have biked the upper half of the trail from Lebanon to Danbury. It was a beautiful ride with good trail surface. The length of the ride was about 27.3 miles and a ride time of 3.5 hrs of ride time. Avg speed was 7.7mph and max speed was 19mph. I plan on completing the second half from Danbury to Boscawen within the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted. If your interested or have questions feel free to call me. It should be a really great biking challenge. I'm really looking forward to this.

**Posted Update: Danbury to Boscawen 6/21/25**
We started the second half ride of this trail in Danbury. The trail surface was excellent for a gravel trail. Lots of nice views and wildlife along the was saw a deer on the trail about halfway. It was great. The weather for the day was good. It was cool and refreshing. Great for riding. We took several water stops along the way and made this a real casual ride. This portion of the trail has a slight downhill grade which made it even more enjoyable. On a scale of 10 I would rate this trail an 8-9. Can't wait to do the full length of the trail in Sept.
