(FREE) Mangyeongdae Ridge Climbing at Bukhansan National Park!

Ready for a thrill? Ready for the ultimate day of adrenaline and adventure?

Come and join us on Thursday & Friday, September 21~22 !!!

This route called Mangyeongdae provides us with lots of holds, cracks, slabs... Ridge climbing provides dangerous feelings of high altitudes and opographical thrills, but requires professional climbing equipment and techniques that are inappropriate for beginners. Due to the risk of danger, beginner are advised to learn about basic use of equipments and climbing techniques first, and even experienced climbers should always be prepared for unpredictable situations.

This program is hosted/sponsored by the Seoul Tourism Organization and Blackyak Alpine Club. It should be a fantastic day so don`t miss this great opportunity!

The Seoul Tourism Organization and Blackyak Apline Club warmly invited 8 of our international friends to show the beauty of the Bukhansan, and to build up Bukhansan as an internationally known area for the Ridge climbing outdoor activities.

-If you are interested in joining us, please send an email to seoulhikingcenter@gmail.com And please don't forget to RSVP for this event!

[Reminder]

-Must bring: ridge boots, backpack(30L), gloves,(Non-slippery)

-Optional: comfortable clothes suitable for climbing, extra clothing, toiletries, and etc (water, beverages, snack and meats are individual preparations)

-Provided: gears needed for ridge climbing(helmat,harness,rope,locking carbiner and etc)

***-***Accommodation provided: BAC center 3F cabin

Where to meet: Seoul Hiking Tourism Center(5 mintues walk from Bukhansan-Ui station, exit 2)

Date and Time: September 21, Thursday at 5:00pm

[First Day (09/21 Thursday)]

17:00-17:30 Orientation of the program

17:30-20:00 Pre-training for Mangyeongdae ridge climbing

20:00 Free time and Rest

[Second Day (09/22 Friday) ]

07:00-07:30 Get up and Move to the enterance of Bukhan mountain

07:30~09:30 Hiking to the MangyeongDae

9:30-14:30 Manggyeongdae ridge climbing

14:30-16:30 Climb down the mountain

16:30-17:00 Return to the Seoul hiking Tourism Center and wrap up

A Few Notes:

- The program might change according to weather, traffic, and etc. Please be flexible; we are all here to have a good time

- RCIK highly recommends taking your own travel/accident insurance if you haven't already done so.

- Willing to give constructive and helpful feedback on improving tourism programs
