Tango is a partner dance of walking while hugging. The movements are simple but so nuanced, subtle, and diverse in expression that it takes years to develop the dance! Tango allows for meditation, introspection, and personal growth, and is considered by tango dancers a tao or learning journey.
The Thursday classes will work in conjunction with additional open/public practices where we can work on lead follow, figures, and navigation in the line of dance with dancers in the tango community.
There are practices and multiple socials (milongas) in Seoul every day and night of the week! (Followers can start dancing at socials within weeks opposed to leaders who need several months)
The monthly fee to join the classes is ₩35,000. Practice entrance fees are separate, paid as you attend, ranging from ₩7,000-10,000 (3-5 hours long). You can go with the class group or alone. Practices are casual and everyone is welcome. Feel free to socialize and make friends!
