"I Live in Itaewon": Book talk and discussion with author Miyoung Kim

EVENT: Book talk and discussion in English with author Miyoung Kim, author of "I Live in Itaewon."
DAY: Friday, February 27, 2026
TIME: 6:30pm is the "doors open" time. Attendees are invited to arrive, socialize and meet people, look around, have a drink. The took-talk and discussion's start time is 7:30pm. End time is 9:00pm.
PLACE: North Terrace Building, Jongno, Seoul. The exact room at the venue is TBA. It will be displayed on signboards at the venue.
EVENT SCOPE: What is Itaewon to you? To Miyoung Kim, Itaewon has been a refuge and a second home. She has written a book reflecting on 15 years' residence in the famous neighborhood. Her attention-getting book is in Korean (title: "이태원에 삽니다"). But this talk is a special event to be run entirely in English. Come to hear and share. The event will reflect on Itaewon as a place and as a home, but also on how one writes about a place and a home.
COST TO ATTEND: Zero.
ATTENDEES: This is not primarily a "Meetup" event and most RSVPs have come from elsewhere. Anyone finding this event through Meetup, however, is welcome to come, as long as there is space! So don't delay and RSVP early.
