[Exhibition] Shin Sang Ho: Infinite Metamorphoses
상세정보
When you think of "ceramics," you probably picture vessels or decorative objects molded from clay and fired in a kiln. Artist Shin Sang Ho began with traditional ceramics, but driven by changing times and his own curiosity, he has expanded the medium into diverse forms.
Shin has deconstructed traditional Korean ceramics while building a new order from their foundations. The exhibition title “Shin Sang Ho: Infinite Metamorphoses” reflects his non-conformist approach and his ongoing challenge to the historical hierarchy of clay.
This retrospective celebrates Shin Sang Ho's distinctive artistic vision, developed over 60 years in response to shifts in society and art. Breaking past the limitations of clay and conventional ideas about ceramics, I'd love to explore the infinite metamorphoses Shin Sang Ho has created—together with you!
