🌏 Grounding (Earthing) Effect Science says walking on mud connects us to the Earth's electrons, which neutralize free radicals in the body.
This 'earthing' effect has been shown to reduce inflammation, pain, and improve sleep.
Its composition includes the predominant clay mineral, illite, along with kaolinite and sometimes montmorillonite.
Quartz, iron oxides, and trace elements like magnesium, calcium, and potassium contribute to the clay's unique properties.
The red color is often attributed to the presence of iron oxides.
