โœจpov you finally found your besties in Koreaโœจ
Welcome to Unnie Nolja - a safe space for the girls to meet friends with zero judgement and competitiveness. We know how hard it is to make deep and meaningful connections while living abroad and we're here to change that! This community has been made for you and is being continuously shaped by you to deliver experiences that get you out of the house and help you explore Korea with the coolest group of girlfriends!

Make sure you're part of โœจthe group chatโœจ to stay updated and chat with the girls 3 times a week.

What exactly is in it for me? ๐Ÿ’ญ
Apart from the obvious opportunity to meet new friends and socialise, here's what to expect:

โ˜‘๏ธ Meet ups and gatherings 1-2 times per month
โ˜‘๏ธ Intimate group sizes for a chill vibe where you can talk to everyone there
โ˜‘๏ธ Private girls brunches, craft days and dinner parties in our own space
โ˜‘๏ธ Activity days like perfume making, meditation sessions, makeup lessons & more
โ˜‘๏ธ Day tours and overnight group trips around Korea to explore like a local

That sounds fun! But how did this all come about? ๐Ÿค”
When the group's founder Nomi Kang posted a silly little TikTok about making friends in Korea, the girlies came out in full force! It became so clear that all we really needed was the opportunity to take things offline and make real connections. So, that snowballed into co-hosting a day tour to Magoksa Temple, which sold out in 24 hours ๐Ÿคฏ And after Nomi's DMs filled up with potential new besties who couldn't get tickets, a new side quest was unlocked. Now here we are: making life in Korea a movie with our girls by our side ๐Ÿคฉ

So, when you say "the girls"... who is actually welcome? ๐Ÿ‘€
When we say "the girls", it's not really referring to gender so much as the feeling you get when you're with your besties. We asked the community what would make you most comfortable when attending our meetups and we heard you loud and clear! So, Unnie Nolja has been created as a safe space for 'the girls and the gays'. As much as we love our straight men, we're asking them to sit this one out so we can have our time.

Where will the meetups be? I don't live in Seoul ๐Ÿ“
Nomi doesn't live in Seoul either but since it's a well-connected point that's familiar for most, we're going to start with having the majority of our meetups on the weekends in Seoul. However, we know there are girlies all over Korea that would like to join us so we're also planning to have some touring meetups in other cities! If you've got cities you'd like to recommend, let us know.

I couldn't get tickets to the event before it sold out ๐Ÿ˜ญ Can't you make bigger group sizes?
Going to meetups can be really overwhelming and overstimulating when the group sizes are too big. You find you only speak to 2 or 3 people and leave the gathering feeling disappointed that you weren't able to get to know more friends. So we are being very intentional when choosing group sizes for each meetup. More intimate group sizes makes it easier for you to talk to everyone in the room without feeling burnt out. And we also have to take into consideration the maximum guest numbers for many of the activities and classes we book (not all the workshops are very big).

But don't worry if you didn't get a ticket! Make sure you're following Nomi @therealnomikang to stay updated as there's always new meetups in the works. And if you join โœจthe group chatโœจ broadcast channel, you'll be given an exclusive opportunity to reserve your place before anyone else knows about it!

We're so excited to meet up with you and make the most beautiful memories ๐Ÿ’›
