Are People Mostly Good or Evil? (HONGDAE)
상세정보
Are humans born with an affinity towards the good or the bad? If not, do humans still have a tendency to lean towards one more than the other? Can humanity as a whole be generalized more towards good or towards bad?
I believe this is a concept that many of us may have an opinion on, so let's come together and discuss our views!
DISCUSSIONS QUESTIONS:
Use these to help guide discussion if necessary. You do not have to follow them strictly.
1. If you had to choose one word --- good, evil, or neutral --- what would you pick and why?
2. What does it mean to call a person "good" or "evil"?
3. Is moral character something stable, or does it change with circumstances?
4. If someone does good things only when it benefits them, are they still good?
5. Is indifference morally closer to good or evil?
6. Do social systems bring out the best in people or the worst?
7. Are extreme moral failures caused by "bad people" or bad situations?
8. Should we judge people by their worst actions or by their overall pattern?
9. Is it fair to morally judge people born into harmful environments?
10. Does understanding why someone does bad things reduce blame?
