Improv San Diego is a group that supports all local improv, sketch, stand-up classes, shows, and ideas! Learn about available classes and shows from local, national, and international teachers and troupes. We’ll also offer local workshops, classes, and shows.
If you’re curious about improv and sketch—or are a full-blown fan—this meetup will share ways to watch, participate, and make friends while being part of this revolutionary art form. Both experienced and brand-new improvisers are welcome here!
Learn from experts in the field on how to be a better improviser and communicator, on and off stage.
About me
Hi, I’m Patrick McInnis. I’ve been performing and teaching improv comedy since 2011, working with performers, corporate audiences, and even therapeutic groups(assisted living facilities). I’ve led workshops for clients including the Los Angeles Lakers, iRobot, Miller Coors, Johnson & Johnson and more. I’ve also taught improv to students of all ages—from elementary school and high schools through post graduate level university programs.
I’ve been performing in theater since I was 12, and over the years I’ve appeared in commercials, films, and TV shows. Outside of improv, I work as a Realtor in North County San Diego, where I live with my partner, Kate, and our two kids, Hailey and Duncan. I’m excited to help create a space where people can learn, laugh, and connect through the art of improv.

See our Level 1 & Advanced Player showcases and then get ready to Jam!
Sign up to jump into short form games, dive into long form scenes, or just grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the beautiful, ridiculous chaos from the audience. Every moment is made up on the spot, so no two nights are ever the same.
