Overview:
Join us at the Mindful Social, a 1.5-2-hour immersive event designed to foster connections, self-reflection, and mindfulness. This event combines authentic relating, mindfulness practices, and group discussions. Experience a safe and supportive space where you connect with fellow seekers. It should be a lot of fun :)
Schedule:
- Event Introduction (2-3 minutes): Get an overview of what to expect and the intention behind the Mindful Social.
- Group Introductions (5 minutes): Connect with others in the group. share your name, where you're from, and briefly express what mindfulness means to you or why you're interested in mindfulness.
- Mindful Listening: Reflective discussions on experiences that led to your interest in mindfulness (13 minutes)
- Mindful Noticing: Observations and sharing in pairs (12 minutes)
- Body Scanning Meditation: Guided meditation to cultivate awareness and relaxation (10 minutes)
- Breathwork: Some simple yogic breathing exercise for balance and focus (10 minutes)
- Open Discussion on Reflections and Troubleshooting (15 minutes)

Note: The schedule breakdown is approximate and subject to minor adjustments during the event to accommodate participant engagement and flow.

If you like your own cushion or mat for meditating feel free to bring that, though we should have chairs.
Eating and Breathwork Considerations: While breath work is generally safe, I was taught that it is recommended to eat light or ideally not have any food 2-3 hours before pranayama. Also In general you may find meditation is much easier on a light stomach.
