This time we head toward Mt. Dobong. Passing the site of mountaineer Um Hong-gil's childhood home, we'll rest at Mangwolsa Temple before climbing the artillery ridge where artillery units were stationed during the Korean War. We'll traverse the charming rocky artillery ridge, ascend and descend the popular Y Valley on Mt. Dobongsan, walk while enjoying the splendid view of O-bong, and take commemorative photos with the majestic Uiam Rock as our backdrop. Next, we visit the cave within Wontongsa Temple where King Taejo Lee Seong-gye performed a hundred-day prayer ritual before founding the Joseon Dynasty. Why not sit directly in the very spot where he sat and prayed, and offer your own personal wish?
