In Norcal Campers, strangers are welcomed as friends and friends become like family.
As the only 5-star camping group in the Northern California, our group appeals to folks who camp from their vehicle rather than from a backpack. Members use tents, utilize vehicles, vans, trailers or motorhomes. While we welcome people of all ages, history has shown that most of our active campers are 40 and older.
We camp in the western states and northern California in particular and include “civilized” places like county, state and national forests\parks. Most trips will be appropriate for anyone, but all campers must be self-sufficient.
We assume no responsibility for you and your guests safety or well-being as we only serve to help coordinate trips. By joining you agree to hold the group and all fellow members harmless of any responsibility or liability for whatever befalls you and your guests on a trip. Everyone is responsible for booking, and paying for their own campsite, shared with others if mutually agreeable. We are not a guide service!
We gather each evening to share stories and discuss plans for the next day. We enjoy getting together to share a libation but if you like to drink to excess and party please join another group. Well behaved pets are generally welcome, subject to the regulations of the campground being visited.
Many of us camp outside of this group but sometimes company is welcome and there is a high likelihood that you will make and cherish lifelong friends as well as enjoy the security that a group provides.

Morro Bay State Park- May 25 to 30, 2026 VOTED #1 STATE PARK IN CA

Linda and I hope you will join us at cozy Morro Bay State Park, which features lagoon and natural bay habitat. The bay's most prominent landmark is Morro Rock. The park has opportunities for paddling, sailing, fishing, hiking, and bird watching. The park museum has exhibits that cover natural features and cultural history, Native American life, geology, and oceanography. The park also has a colorful marina and an 18-hole public golf course. On the bay's northeast edge is a pristine saltwater marsh that supports a thriving bird population.

Max. Trailer: 35 Feet. Camper/Motorhome: 35 Feet. Check in time is 2 PM; check out time is 12 PM. Each site has picnic table and fire ring. Flush toilets and water near each site.

A visit to the Central Coast of California is not complete without a stop at the Museum of Natural History in Morro Bay State Park. The museum offers activities for all ages: nature walks, exhibits, lectures, puppet shows, videos, docent led tours and special events.
Visit the Chumash garden along the side of the museum and learn how the Chumash used native plants of this area in their daily lives. Then visit the Heron Rookery, Morro Bay State Park, Montana de Oro State Park, the El Moro Elfin Forest and Audubon's Sweet Springs Nature Preserve. The museum overlooks Morro Bay which is both a State and National Estuary.
Each family is responsible for their own reservations, equipment and meals. We will have a pot-luck dinner on Wednesday May 27. We will gather for “happy hour” each day at 5 PM to plans for the following day. Bring your own chair and beverage. We plan to hike and/or paddle every day, stopping for a snack on the trail or beach.

Silver Lake EAST Campground- near Kit Carson, CA - June 30 to July 7

Linda and I hope you can join us for another High Sierra get-away week at beautiful Silver Lake EAST campground. The campground with 41 sites is situated at the base of Thunder Mountain at an elevation of 7,300 feet, on the north-EAST end of beautiful Silver Lake. Silver Lake covers 200 acres in a large granite basin surrounded by a forest of mixed conifers. The lake's mirror-like waters are known to reflect the colors of the sky above, attracting both hikers and photographers to its scenic shores. The Silver Lake area blooms with bright wildflowers in the summer months, delighting visitors with their presence around the lakes and high in the mountain meadows.

Facilities: Vault toilets, drinking water, campfire rings and picnic tables are provided. Single units are limited to a maximum of 2 vehicles and 6 people. A pay phone, restaurant, boat rentals and boat ramp are located at a nearby lodge.
Each family is responsible for their own reservations, equipment, and meals. We will gather for Happy Hour at 5 pm to share stories. Bring your own chair and beverage. I plan to hike and/or paddle every day. Lunch will often be on the trail or beach. On Thursday July 2, let's have a pot luck dinner, bring something to share.

Or by phone: 877-444-6777. The campground fills up in the summer. Sites become available on December 30, I recommend you get ready to reserve your site. You should reserve early to ensure getting a site at Silver Lake EAST campground, $28/night and accepts Senior passes for 50% discount.Silver Lake WEST, while just across the highway, is managed by the local irrigation district, (does not accept Senior Passes) does not take reservations and many of the sites are short and slope.
Recreation: Hiking is popular, allowing access to high alpine lakes and other destinations through spectacular hikes. Anglers will be happy to know that Silver Lake boasts stocked populations of Rainbow, German Brown, and Mackinaw trout. Kayak rentals available at Kit Carson Lodge, which also has a wonderful restaurant, café, and small store. I plan to hike or paddle every day.
Artists: Linda will be sketching, painting, nature journaling, and you are welcome to join her, do your own art work or just hang out with her.
Directions: Silver Lake East is located 52 miles east of Jackson, California via CA-88. From the town of Pioneer continue State Route 88 east 36.6 miles to campground on right (East side).
Nearby Campgrounds: Silver Lake WEST Campground, and Ferguson Campground.
Caples Lake Campground. Silver Lake WEST campground is on the west side of Highway 88, is operated by the Local Water District, so Senior Pass do not apply at that campground.22명의 참석자

Nearest Address: 115 Rock Creek Rd, Bishop, CA 93514We think you will enjoy another High Sierra get-away week at beautiful Rock Creek Lake campground. This scenic area is popular for picnics, fishing, and hiking. Our trailer does not fit into this campground, so we plan to visit with friends in June Lake during this week.
Facilities The campsites are well-spaced along the lake shore, with several tent-only, walk-in sites overlooking the lake. Boat rentals, educational programs, groceries and showers are all nearby. Firewood is available on-site for a fee. Bears inhabit the area, so bear-proof lockers are provided for campers to store food.

Natural Features The campsites at Rock Creek Lake sit on a low hill with scattered aspen and lodgepole pine trees overlooking the lake's crystal blue waters. At an elevation of 9,600 feet, the area is home to abundant wildlife, including black bear, mountain lions, mule deer, pine martin, pika and many species of fish and birds.
Recreation Rock Creek and other waterways in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains are known for exceptional trout fishing. A catch from the lake may include brook, brown, rainbow and stocked Alpers trout, while anglers may be treated to golden trout in the backcountry. Power boats on the lake are limited to electric motors only.
The area's majestic scenery and challenging trails are a draw for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. The Tamarack Trail begins in the campground and wanders up to several high-elevation, glacially-carved alpine lakes and ponds.

This is a popular camping/hiking area, with many campgrounds nearby, such as: Lower Pine CG, East Fork CG, Big Meadows CG, Iris Meadow CG, Aspen Grove CG and French Camp CG.Directions: Take US 395 south to the junction with Rock Creek Rd. approximately 3.5 miles south of Crowley Lake.
