Bike the streets of South St. Louis on a carefully curated, garden-studded bike tour on Saturday, June 21st for the third annual Tour de Plants: Southwest Edition! Young Friends of Seed St. Louis will guide your journey through several unique Seed St. Louis community gardens in Dogtown, Northampton, and other Southwest neighborhoods. Riders will learn from garden leaders about their stunning urban green spaces and vibrant neighborhoods.
No rider will be left behind on this 10-12 mile ride. The tour begins at South City YMCA at 8:30 am. Please arrive by 8:30 am for bike check and safety briefing. The ride will depart at 9:00 am. Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the end!
Bring your bike, helmets, lights, reflectors, visibility vests, and water! We look forward to riding and frolicking with you soon! ๐ฒ๐ป

- Intro to Growing HerbsBell Garden, Saint Louis, MO
Low-maintenance, high-yielding plants like herbs are ideal for all levels of gardeners. They are also great options for both in-ground planting and containers. In this class, we'll go over common and easy herbs to grow in St. Louis, try different types and recipes, and plant our own basil seeds to take home.
This class will be located at the Bell Community Garden (3871 Bell Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63108) in their pavilion. There is free street parking all along Bell Avenue.

- Raised Bed Building WorkshopBell Garden, Saint Louis, MO
Are you interested in learning how to build a raised bed for your garden, but donโt know where to start? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn all the basics you need to know to build your own raised garden bed! Our staff will help guide you through the step-by-step process of constructing a functional raised bed.
There are two ways you can participate in this class.
1. You can attend for free and leave with the knowledge and confidence to build your own raised bed at home.
2. You can pay for materials and leave with a 4โx4โ or 4โx8โ raised garden bed that you install in your yard. All tools and materials will be provided during the class. No prior experience is needed! We hope to see you there!If you build a bed to take home, you will need to be able to transport it, as there are no delivery options. As this is a workshop, make sure to dress for the weather and wear clothing you are comfortable getting dirty.
Costs are listed below for those wanting to take a bed home. Limited tickets are available.
