Presentation workshop, anyone?

One of the things I always wanted out of LA Ruby is for it to be a place where people could learn and practice for presentations, and that we might help people develop to the level of skill and confidence where they would start presenting at regional and national conferences.

It occurs to me that presenting in front of 60+ people is not the best way for someone completely new to start. I'm thinking of organizing informal workshops where people can give presentations to a smaller group to be reviewed and get feedback, in anticipation of presenting to the larger group. If you would like to present at a monthly meetup, and would find a group like this helpful for you to make that step, or if you're interested in helping others out, email me and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

-Alf
