Coding Your Documentation and Reaching Operational Excellence

Details

It’s been a while since our last gathering, and we’re thrilled to bring 010DEV back to life! On this February 12th, we’re reconnecting, sharing ideas, and celebrating the Joy of Coding in Rotterdam’s vibrant developer community with two great sessions.

We can’t wait to see you all on February 12th! A big thank you to Lunatech for their warm hospitality and for hosting this session. If you have any questions or remarks, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Coding Your Documentation
by Hubert Klein Ikkink

To write (technical) documentation usually means we leave our coding environment and for example need to start a word processor or open a wiki where we type our documentation. Especially when we (must) use word processor software a lot of things will distract us from writing content: we need to worry about formatting, styles and binary content. And when we want to include source code samples we need to copy/paste source code from an environment where it can be executed to static documentation. In this session we will take a look at the different types of documentation we can write for our software projects. We also take a look at Markdown and Asciidoc as markup languages that makes writing technical documentation easier. Finally we learn about using code to create graphical diagrams.

Reaching Operational Excellence using OpenTelemetry
by Alexander Chatzizacharias en Riccardo Lippolis

Deploying a new product is exciting, but how will you monitor its performance and swiftly handle errors? Join Alexander and Riccardo as they explore OpenTelemetry, demonstrating how to use standardized APIs for flawless logging and comprehensive metrics.
Learn to trace calls across your entire service landscape effortlessly, ensuring you can quickly identify and fix issues. This talk will equip you with the tools to confidently manage your production environment, knowing your services are running smoothly.
