Developer day: 2 Hands-on workshops: Trust in AI and Blockchain
Details
During this developer day we will host 2 hands-on sessions.
The first session is about 'Trust and Transparency in AI'. When you build, run, and manage AI, you need to be sure that you can trust the decisions your system helps make. We will show you this with examples and a hands-on workshop.
Please get yourself an IBM Cloud lite account at https://ibm.biz/BdY6KJ
The second session after lunch will be about Blockchain and this time the use-case is around voting. To create a successful voting application, you need to ensure that the votes can never be changed or altered. A blockchain’s immutability provides this assurance.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use Hyperledger Composer and some provided sample code to create, deploy and experiment with a prototype for a secure and fair voting application.
By the end the session you know how to:
- Create the logic and permissions for a voting application on a blockchain network.
- Deploy your application locally.
- Modify your existing business network and learn how to upgrade it.
- Expose your business network as RESTful endpoints
- Build a Node-RED frontend that consumes the exposed RESTful endpoints.
- Test your application
Pre-reqs: make sure you completed the steps on https://hyperledger.github.io/composer/latest/installing/development-tools . If somehow you cannot finish this on time, or if you prefer to run the lab in a VirtualBox image....we'll have an image available that can be used for the lab.
This day will be introduced by Tanmay Bakshi who is an AI expert, developer and Keynote speaker at a very young age (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tanmay-bakshi-b15012a1/)
Lunch will not be provided, bring your own or use the facilities in B. Drinks will be arranged for both sessions.
