Bu grup, bulut ve yüksek performans gerektiren diğer ortamlarda ölçeklenebilir depolama sistemlerine ilgi duyan herkese hitap etmektedir. Ceph; object, block ve file system desteğini bir arada sunan, yüksek performanslı, yatayda büyüyebilen, açık kaynak kodlu bir depolama platformudur. Örneğin OpenStack ile birlikte kullanıldığında cinder, nova, swift, manila gibi bileşenlerin ihtiyaç duyduğu object, block ve file system desteğini tek bir platform ile sağlaması sayesinde diğer çözümlerden bir adım öne geçmektedir. Eşsiz CRUSH algoritması sayesinde metadata gerektirmeden ciddi performans avantajı sağlamaktadır.
Bu meetup grubu, Türkiye'de Ceph kullanımını yaygınlaştırmak üzere alanında uzman kişileri bir araya getirmeyi, bilgi birikim ve tecrübelerini paylaşmalarını sağlamayı hedeflemektedir. Ceph Türkiye'nin aşağıdaki adresten erişebileceğiniz web sayfasında teknik makalelere erişebilirsiniz.
