How many coaches does it take to change a lightbulb?

Synopsis:
A Scrum Master should know how to coach people. It says so in the Scrum Guide that a Scrum Master serves the team and the organisation by "...Coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality". "Leading, training, and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption" However, for some Scrum Masters coaching may be the most underused, overlooked skill.

As part of my journey as a Scrum Master I wanted to understand coaching more; how to do it, what not to do and what being a coach actually means.

What some people believe to be coaching may not be coaching; done wrongly it can be damaging to the team and the individual. It can limit the possibilities of the individual and the team. Done well it can lead to fulfilment and create a world of possibilities for an individual, and the team.

So what is coaching from a Scrum Master's point of view? What is coaching from Scrum.org's point of view? Is a Scrum Master an Agile Coach? (Yes)
