18.00 Arrivals and dinner
19.00 Session 1: Robin Dekker en Vivek Kumar - Automated subscription delivery at scale.
Learn how Rabobank automated Azure subscription provisioning through a self-developed, cloud-native platform built on Azure services. What started as a solution for automated subscription delivery has evolved into a broader platform automation framework, offering more than 75 self-service APIs for engineering teams and numerous internal automation APIs.

Today, the platform operates at significant enterprise scale, having automatically provisioned over 3000 Azure subscriptions while processing approximately 3 million API calls per year. The session covers the subscription delivery flow, recipe-based orchestration, a loosely coupled architecture, release management, and disaster recovery.

20.00 Session 2: Sebastian van den Putten - Azure Policy through automation; 4 years later...
Following the Cloud Adoption Framework and rolling out Azure Policy is the easy part. Keeping it alive in production for four years — through audits, platform changes, new workloads, and shifting internal processes — is where it gets interesting.
In this session Sebastian looks back at four years of Azure Policy in production at a regulated financial services provider. What does the generic setup look like today? Which base-assumptions held up, which ones didn't survive first contact with reality? Where did the team follow CAF, where did they deliberately deviate, and why?

The talk moves from governance to implementation and shows how a strong security posture and a one-size-fits-all approach are not mutually exclusive. Light on slides, heavy on the decisions that mattered: the interplay between Azure Policy, ServiceNow, a Refresh Environment, and CINC, and how all of that fits into ITSM processes that predate the cloud by a decade.
Expect the honest version — including the things that broke, the workarounds that became permanent, and the lessons that only surface after four years of running this (with and without the anger).
