Hike and Write Amsterdam

The goal of these events is to have a day where to unleash your creativity and connect with others. We will do a bit of Improv, fun games, writing and brain drops exercises.

The day
1- The day will start at Martin Luther Kingpark.
Here we will do some improv exercises to get to know each other. The games will be inspired from the theme of the day "Lost in Translation".

2- Then, we will walk along the beautiful Amstel until Amstel Park. During the walk you can either admire the view or paly some more (i will provide some games).

3- Once at Amstel Park we will find a spot to sit down and write around the theme of the day - Lost in Translation (Please bring a blanket). I will also give some introduction on story-telling and some background theory. In case you prefer to come already with a story or work with other creative mediums (ie. singing), that's also ok.

4- Finally, we will tell each other the stories (exact location is a surprise)

Details about the theme
The theme of the day will be "Lost in translation". Has it ever happened to you to meet someone or being in a place that sparked your interest but you were not exactly sure what to do or what was going on? What did you do? Did you act? Did you just watch? Did you get stuck? Did that moment change some parts of you?

- Brain drops = Brain drops are exercises to get our head clearer and lighter. Examples are meditation and free flow writings.

Program summary
11:00 - 12:00 Meet and Greet + Improv games
12:00 - 13:30 Walk along the Amstel and Lunch
13:30 - 14:15 Brain drop + Write/Create
14:15 - 15:30 Perform
15;30 - 16:00 Final remarks and closing

Contribution
Event is possible with a contribution of 5 eur. To be arranged with a tikkie.

PLEASE NOTE THESE GROUP RULES:
No-shows who do not reach out to us will be removed from the group (one strike you're out). We get that things come up, so if you have a slot and you can't make it last minute, please REACH OUT TO US via message instead of just not showing up with no communication.
If you have a slot and can't come, please CANCEL THE DAY BEFORE so that people from the wait list have time to plan to come. We understand that sometimes things happen last minute and you can't attend, but please try to cancel early, and reach out to us via message if you can't come last minute.
If you're on the waitlist, please don't show up anyway. It's often hard on the restaurant to have extra people, hard on us as organizers to make it welcoming to everyone with the space available, and it means the restaurant might not let us come back next time. If you'd like to try your luck that there's a late cancellation, reach out to us first via message and we can let you know if you can come!
