Amsterdam Tea Festival 2026 -Tea as a Social Language

Hello everyone! This is my first time organising an event in Amsterdam,the Netherlands. I was invited as a lecturer to a workshop about tea!
-This workshop invites everyone to taste black and green tea of Gilan region (border zone where Azerbaijan and Iran meet) and discover how one cup of tea carries history, daily life, celebration, and loss.

-Participants will sit together, listen to short stories about tea traditions, and take part in preparing tea in a traditional way. The session includes observing how tea is poured and sweetened, tasting the tea, and learning how these simple
actions carry social meaning in everyday life, marriage, and mourning practices.

-What’s Included: Black and Green tea, sugar cub and Azeri Halva (sweet treat)
