No, really. Forget the sad supermarket fizz, the generic bar bubbles, and those €2 nightmares that barely deserve to be called wine.

Because this time, we’re diving into the real thing.

In this 7th edition of Tell Me Wine, we’re exploring a wine that’s often misunderstood, misrepresented, and massively underrated – but still incredibly exciting when done right. That wine is Prosecco, and we’ll be tasting it in its purest, most artisanal form.

We’ll explore six wines from a single, tiny family-run producer: Frozza, based in Colbertaldo di Vidor, in the heart of the Valdobbiadene DOCG. With only 7 hectares of vines, some over 50 years old, and a hands-off, natural approach in the cellar (no commercial yeasts!), Frozza is a hidden gem that produces some of the most elegant, vibrant and soulful Prosecco you’ll ever try.

Their wines – including a magical, long-aged Colfondo – are a revelation. If you think you don’t like Prosecco, this tasting may just change your mind.

As always, the tasting will be hosted in Leiden, in a relaxed and informal setting. Alongside the wines, there will be a selection of regional snacks, thoughtfully paired to create a narrative between food and wine, land and story.
