On Saturday, November 1st, the day before Allerzielen, we invite you to join Liesje van den Berk and Jolijn de Wolf as we explore through drawing what happens during grief. We'll do this among the trees of Amsterdam-Noord—trees that have often been part of the landscape longer than we have, and that help us pause, listen, and imagine. With pencil and paper, among the trees, we'll create space for grief. Not by exchanging words, but by looking and drawing together.

Visual artist and teacher Liesje van den Berk and Jolijn de Wolf guide and challenge you with short drawing exercises. We look, but also feel, listen and smell our environment and draw these observations on paper with graphite pencil. No drawing experience is necessary for this drawing walk. And the drawing materials are provided.

Walking is a way to experience the richness of your environment and make contact with each other. During the walks you will discover new nature, images, places and stories about your neighborhood by looking and listening.
