What would your life look like if you stopped living for the approval of others? This month, we’re diving into The Courage to Be Disliked by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi, a bold and transformative dialogue rooted in Adlerian psychology.

Through a conversation between a philosopher and a young man, the book challenges everything we think we know about happiness, freedom, and self-worth. Together, we’ll explore its provocative ideas: that trauma doesn’t define us, that all problems are interpersonal problems, and that true freedom comes from choosing a life driven by purpose rather than approval.

We’ll gather again at Lebkov & Sons in Rotterdam to unpack these concepts and discuss how they apply to our own lives. As always, everyone helps shape what we read next.

📅 When: Sunday, 22 February 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
📍 Where: Lebkov & Sons, Rotterdam
👥 Who: Anyone who’s read the book and wants to explore its ideas with curious, open-minded readers
🧠 Space: Limited to 20 participants — RSVP early to secure your spot

### About the Book

The Courage to Be Disliked distills Adlerian psychology into accessible—and often surprising—lessons about living life on your own terms. Through its Socratic-style dialogue, it invites us to rethink responsibility, self-acceptance, and the stories we tell ourselves.
If you’re drawn to introspective, philosophical books that challenge assumptions and spark personal growth, this discussion is for you. Come share your reflections and be part of the conversation. 🌿📚
