About Aaron van Wirdum
Aaron van Wirdum is a Bitcoin journalist and author who has been covering Bitcoin for more than a decade through Bitcoin Magazine and other publications. He recently published The Genesis Book, a major work that explores the prehistory of Bitcoin by tracing the people, ideas, and projects that laid its foundations.
Through his writing, Aaron has helped readers around the world better understand not only Bitcoin itself, but also the broader historical context from which it emerged, from free software and Austrian economics to cryptography, cypherpunks, and early digital cash experiments.
With The Genesis Book, Aaron offers a rich and accessible account of the thinkers, engineers, and movements that shaped the path toward Bitcoin. His work is especially valuable for anyone who wants to go beyond surface level explanations and understand Bitcoin as the result of decades of intellectual and technological evolution.
