Heart of the Green Forest

🦌🥾 Hello Hikers! Let’s lace up our boots, embrace the fresh air, and head into the wild heart of Brabant!
We’re taking on the gorgeous NS-Wandeling Hart van het Groene Woud, a fantastic 14.5 km point-to-point trail stretching from Boxtel to Best. 🌿✨
📍 Start: Boxtel Train Station (exit at the rear/Van Salmstraat side)
⏰ When: Saturday, Jun 6th,| Hike starts 11:00 AM (please arrive 10–15 min early). We’ll wait 15 minutes for everyone (11:15 AM) and then share our live location in the WhatsApp group for anyone running late.
🥾 Distance: 14.5 km
☕ After-hike plan: We’ll finish right at Best train station, where we can grab a cozy celebratory drink or snack together before hopping on our trains home.
👀 What to Expect

• The Wild Side, Wildlife Spotting, Lennisheuvel & Nature Park Boscheind, Glorious Unpaved Paths

Getting There

• By Train: Take the train directly to Boxtel Station. It has excellent intercity connections from Eindhoven, Tilburg, and Den Bosch.
• By Car: Since this is a point-to-point hike (Boxtel → Best), I highly recommend taking public transport. If you do drive, park at Boxtel station and you can easily take a 7-minute train ride back from Best at the end of the day.

🎒 What to Bring

• Hiking shoes or sturdy boots with great traction
• A packed lunch and snacks
• Plenty of water
• Layered clothing and a light waterproof jacket (just in case!)
• Note for dog owners: Dogs are forbidden inside the core red deer area, so please leave your furry friends at home for this specific event!
