Existentialism Series 1. Whose life are we living?

Dear friends,

Welcome to June '26 edition of Cafe Philo Eindhoven. It was always amazing to have your different perpectives of the same words on which tried to think together. For the next few months we are planning a series of discussions on the questions that the existentialist thinkers have tried to have opinions. We might use movies, philosophical fictions or just questions on our existence and essense. Lets find out our own subjective truths on these questions on our life. In the process let's try to understand our own lifes

During this session incidently coincides with summer solstice :) lets formulate and agree upon some definitions used in existentialism, identify famous existentialist thinkers, bring up similar questions asked by them.

Particularly lets think through on how our life being structured by our environments where we have grown up?

At what age we chart our own path? or ever?

Lets also enquire are we following our life or the life set for us by someone?

Are we following this path because it seems to be the easiest?

How do we know what we want in our life is really what we want?
Lets deeply think on our thinking!
