Wat we doen
Creative Coding Amsterdam is a community for anyone fascinated by the creative side of programming — or even the broader world of art and technology.
It's a welcoming space for beginners and advanced coders alike, whether you're a professional or just coding for fun.
We host informal events where you can connect with other creative coding enthusiasts, share your work, discover what others are creating, and even collaborate on projects spontaneously.
Have an idea, an awesome project you'd like to showcase, or something you feel is missing in the creative coding community? Don't hesitate to reach out and help make it happen!
Join us at one of our events or online on our discord — we'd love to have you!

Alles weergeven- May Mollie MadnessMollie, Amsterdam
As usual, we'd like to thank everyone who joined us for the Plotter Special last month! Seeing everybody huddled around the plotters was really something...
This month May, as we're invited back at our friends at Mollie's we tried to make it even Madder.
Which is why, we've got not 1, not 2, but 3 amazing speakers for you this time around!
In alphabetical order, we start off with Giedrius Tamulaitis, who's bringing along a peculiarly doomed rotary phone.
Continuing in alphabetical order, we've got Masa, who will take us on a tour through the interactive pixel-art wonder worlds he creates.
And finally, last but not least, still in alphabetical order, we are welcoming Piter Pasma to the stage. He's going to tell us a bit about his work on his "Rayhatcher" algorithm and the use, beauty and magic of SDFs.
Are you excited? Because we sure are!
We hope to see you there! Or if you can't make it, come hang out on our Discord.⚠️ As we've got a packed and exciting program we kindly ask you to try to be punctual so we can get an early start.
📅 Program Details:
☎️ Doom Phone - Coder and artist Giedrius Tamulaitis will tell us a story about turning an old rotary phone into a wireless controller that can be used to play Doom. For no good reason. And you will be able to try it out!
🐰 Interactive Pixel Art - Creative Coder Masa used to draw things like bunnies pretending to be an ice cream, and these days he codes things like dancing meerkats. He will be telling the story of how he started creative coding and share some of his work and the processes behind them.
☀️ Rayhatcher / SDFs - Piter Pasma is a generative artist from Groningen, the Netherlands, who creates three-dimensional artworks using compact mathematical code. Known for his "Rayhatcher" algorithm—line-art-inspired raymarching optimized for plotters. Pasma also fosters creative coding communities through initiatives like Genuary and the collaborative Universal Rayhatcher project. In his presentation he will talk about his "Rayhatcher" algorithm and the use, beauty and magic of SDFs.
