Philips Hue
We received a lot of questions regarding the Philips Hue API and kind of software to think of when it comes to this hackathon. Take a look at the app-section (http://www2.meethue.com/nl-nl/apps-en-meer/favoriete-apps/) of Philips Hue to get some ideas. Or how about making a new IFTTT? We are sure you will come up with tons of creative ideas!
Further more a Philips Hue developers kit will be available, as well as a Wake up light and a Styler prototype which can be connected, so you can test your product right away.
In-dept information on the Philips Hue API will be given during the hackathon.

In conjunction with Cloud9 (https://c9.io/), we bring you our first event of 2015: the GIT Hackathon!
We will be working together with major partners Google Cloud Platform (https://cloud.google.com/solutions/), Philips Hue (http://www2.meethue.com/nl-nl/), The Next Web (http://thenextweb.com/) and Bottlenose (http://bottlenose.com/) in order to complete the hackathon accordingly.

We will work on Philips Hue API, AppEngine, BigQuery, and new tools like CloudEndpoints and Firebase during the day. Mentors from Google, Philips, The Next Web and Bottlenose will be present to guide you.
Although the hackathon is open to everybody (both male & female), a minimum of 1-2 years coding experience is recommended.
It will be a full day program, including food and drinks, so block the whole day in your agenda!
Your work will be valued by an experienced jury. Every participant will be rewarded for their contribution, but extra prizes are available for those who rock the hackathon!
