AI is everywhere.
In every pitch, every roadmap, every product update.
But how much of it actually holds up when you look under the hood?

This edition of Doghouse Unleashed, we step away from the hype and get into the reality of AI in modern development. Not the demos, but the actual engineering trade-offs, limitations, and decisions teams are making today.
What’s real, what’s useful, and what’s basicly just noise?
And more importantly, where does AI actually add value in production environments, and where does it slow you down?

You’ll hear from:
Vladimir Stefanovic, Cloud Architect, Microsoft Azure MVP
With over 20 years in IT infrastructure and more than a decade architecting Azure solutions at scale, Vladimir works with organizations from startups to enterprises to design cloud systems that are technically sound, cost-efficient, and built to last.
As a Microsoft Certified Trainer and long-time community contributor, he helps teams navigate complex cloud environments, avoid costly mistakes, and build systems they can sustain over time. His approach is pragmatic and grounded, starting from business constraints rather than technology alone, which makes his perspective on AI refreshingly realistic.

Carlos Kelkboom, Technical Director
Carlos operates at the intersection of complex systems, engineering culture, and emerging technology. With a background in Mathematics and Philosophy, he brings both analytical depth and a strong systems perspective to how technology is applied in practice.
As Technical Director at Artificial Core, he is building Corepunk, a real-time MMO RPG where performance, scalability, and system design are pushed to the limit. He scaled the engineering team from one to twenty, designed infrastructure for thousands of concurrent players, and shipped to early access at scale.
Before that, he led the design of a customer data platform and personalization stack at Essent, effectively working on applied ML and data infrastructure before AI became a buzzword. Today, he also operates at the intersection of tech and investment, giving him a sharp view on where AI creates real value, and where it doesn’t.

Expect a grounded conversation, sharp takes, and honest perspectives from people who are building and shipping, not just talking about it.
No hype, no inflated promises, just clarity on what matters.

The essentials:
Free admission
Free food and drinks
Senior tech crowd, no sales talk
Doghouse HQ, Amsterdam

This session is for engineers, architects, and tech leaders who want to separate signal from noise.
If you’re done with AI buzzwords and want to understand what actually works, this one’s for you.
