Monthly Meeting - February 2015

February's best known for Valentine's Day and just to show you all how much we care (in a totally non-creepy, platonic way), we've got a special surprise speaker this month: Vaughn Vernon, author of "Implementing Domain-Driven Design". We'll be discussing the Actor Model, both in Scala and C#.

Main Talk: Developing a Reactive Process Manager, Twice
This talk focuses on using the Actor Model, both in Scala with Akka and then using an Akka-like toolkit supporting Actor Model in C# with .NET.

Speaker: Vaughn Vernon
Vaughn is a veteran software craftsman, with more than 25 years of experience in software design, development, and architecture. He is a thought leader in simplifying software design and implementation using innovative methods. Vaughn is the author of the book Implementing Domain-Driven Design.
