Getting insight into your APEX apps

I am often asked to review an APEX environment, so I typically look at it from two sides: starting from the database design, look into the APEX screens and the other way round, from the APEX screens and how the database objects are being touched. In addition to showing what an APEX app is doing, we will look into how the APEX app is being used; who are the top users, how is the performance of the pages, and if users are experiencing issues and how to see the details of it. We will use a tool called APEX Project Eye (APE), which will not only help with the review, but also with generating documentation and giving insights in our APEX environment for others.
