Connecting to other apps: URL schemes & intents (Jason Kneen)

Details

On this next meetup Jason Kneen will talk to us about how to interact with other apps. Using URL schemes (iOS) and intents (Android) you will be able to test for the existence of other apps and open them for a specific task. And of course you can have your own app accept incoming URLs and intents as well. By using these techniques you can bring more interaction and sharing into your apps.

Also speaking will be member Denver Sessink (https://www.meetup.com/Amsterdam-Titanium/members/95733312/). He graduated cum laude by setting up a continuous integration proces for Titanium, which he then used to create an app from A to Z.

We'll start the meeting by going through Titanium updates and news since the last meetup in April.
