New Language Courses at Taalhuis Amsterdam Start in November
Details
Autumn has fallen – don’t let your language skills drop! This November we offer a selection of short language courses. Keep up your practice in one of the conversation courses or book your next level. Or start learning Dutch from scratch before the end of the year! Our teachers are all native speakers and speak Dutch in class from lesson one (and so will you)!
In the week of 10 November, we start our conversation courses for level A2+ and B1+ and a Debate club for level B2+, in which you will keep a close eye on the debating skills of Dutch politicians in the period that will follow the very recent elections! You’ll also find intensive courses from level A1.1 up to B1.2.

If you would like some help defining your level or if you have other questions, please contact us and our teachers or coordinators will get back to you as soon as possible! You can also check our FAQ’s on our website.
About Taalhuis Amsterdam
Taalhuis Amsterdam is a house for languages, located in the heart of Amsterdam, where you can learn and improve your Dutch and Mediterranean languages. The school consists of a team of language lovers with a thrill for text, literature, grammar, culture and coffee.
The school believes that learning a language is more than books, vocabulary and grammar and that many factors contribute to learning a new language. The teachers therefore teach in small groups, with as little level difference as possible, and they do their best to create a safe and ‘gezellige’ atmosphere. Classes are mostly taught in the target language, and the books are written in the target language and follow a communicative approach. The time in class is mostly used to train your speaking skills.
There are group courses, private training and tailored in-company workshops, and also various text and interpreting services. And because Taalhuis also believes that language and culture go hand-in-hand, they often organize events outside the classroom and abroad!
The lessons take place in a historical building in the vibrant De Pijp, where you’ll find a welcoming café at the old gym of the original school building. Taalhuis has its own multilingual library and bookstore, and is designed to be a space for a community of neighbours and language lovers.
