📕 Agenda

18.00-18.30 Welcome

18.30 - 20.00 Talks:

  • Finding the Needle in the Haystack: How we implemented Tempo to improve Bynder's system observability (Miguel Alexandre, Bynder)
Last year, Bynder's Developer Experience team decided to ditch APM SaaS products and fully embrace open-source tools to tackle our observability needs.
In this talk, I will share the reasoning behind the decision to drop a managed APM tool and how we use Tempo to ingest 6 Terabytes of OpenTelemetry data every day from our global multi-region infrastructure without compromising on sampling or durability of traces.
Moreover, I will describe how we team up Tempo with Thanos and Grafana to extract valuable data and provide a single pane of glass for identifying and fixing performance issues and bugs for a fraction of the costs of your typical APM product.
  • Unlocking New Features with Grafana's Latest Migration to Scenes (Alexa Vargas, Grafana Labs)
Grafana's frontend architecture has undergone a big upgrade. The core dashboards now use the Scenes library.
Join me as I explain why we made this migration, how it benefits users, and give you a look at the new architecture. Discover the new features and possibilities this upgrade brings to Grafana's future.
