Aaaaaaarghhhhhhh! Getting Things Done and Chaos!

Details

Sometimes things just fall out of place.
Too much overwhelm, excessive input, endless confusion - it's everywhere.
The world feels like an apocalypse of unread emails, meeting notes, missed calls, endless social media streams, and 3 minute voice messages. Chaos is taking over!

Of course, dedicated practitioners of the Art of Stress-Free Productivity know best what to do:
We capture all potentially meaningful input and define what needs to be done; we organize action reminders in appropriate places; we maintain and review all of our commitments and engage intuitively, in line with our areas of focus and responsibility and every aspect of our higher horizons, goals, vision et cetera.

But at what point is the chaos simply too much?
Isn't there a threshold where the stuff you cannot control becomes too dominant? Isn't there a moment where acceptance becomes the only option? Does this, then, not lead to more chaos, does chaos take over?

And: Is chaos always a bad thing? Isn't it also a source of creativity? What if the chaos comes from inside, not outside? In the age of ever-improving automation, artificial intelligence, and seemingly ubiquitous demands for quality assurance, isn't it often a little spark of madness and uncontrolled turbulence that triggers the next great idea?

With you, we want to elaborate on all those questions and many more in our next meetUp "Getting Things Done and Chaos", on 25.04.2024 at 20:00 CEST.

Let's share stories of overwhelm and tips on how to navigate the states of disarray. Don’t forget to live with chaos and maybe even enjoy it.

What to expect?

This is an open exchange of practitioners of Getting Things Done (GTD)
where we want to share our experiences with the coolest self-management method on the planet.

Agenda?

The format of the meetUp will be an open discussion. We will have a little introduction and some guiding questions prepared. But the magic of the meetUp comes from the stories and experiences shared by the participants. There will be no recording - we embrace open discussion and sharing.

Not familiar with GTD?

This meetUp is run by GTD practitioners. GTD is a self-management method that helps you keep a free mind and relieve your brain of the burden of remembering and reminding. If you are not familiar with GTD, but you still want to join the meetup, that's great! You can find a lot of valuable resources on GTD here:
https://gettingthingsdone.com

Just keep in mind that, we will keep an eye on the discussion and make
sure that the discussion remains valuable for GTD practitioners.
