Haskell Utrecht Meetup

Mark your calendars: the next Haskell Utrecht Meetup will be on October 26th! This time, we will be generously hosted by Channable office, Kromme Nieuwegracht 66.

We have two speakers confirmed for this event:

• Joris Dral on hs-bindgen: Automatic Generation of C Bindings for Haskell

Interfacing with C libraries is one of Haskell's strengths, but writing FFI
bindings by hand is error-prone and repetitive. hs-bindgen is a Haskell
project that automatically generates Haskell FFI bindings for you. In
this talk, we will show hs-bindgen in action, and we will look at the design of hs-bindgen as a C-to-Haskell compiler.

• Curtis Chin Jen Sem on Who needs language servers?

Tree-sitter provides an easy way to generate parse trees and capture information from them. Language servers are the de-facto standard for connecting editors to a language's semantics. How far can we take the combination of the two and provide a generic language server?
