Halloween Swampy Night Hike

Hello-ween queer witches, werewolves and vampires,
🧙🏾‍♀🐺🧛🏻‍♀

Howl you doing? Are you ready for a thrilling fright night in the swampy surroundings of de Waal River? Together with ranger Twan we will walk from Ooij to Nijmegen when the night falls and queer creatures (like us) emerge. 🌙

We start gathering at Utrecht Centraal (beneath the light cloud art installation inside of the station) at 14:50, where the train will depart at 15:11 to Nijmegen. We arrive there at 16:02. Then bus 80 to Ooij departs at 16:22 and arrives at the starting point of our hike Erlecomse Dam at 16:49. If you want to come by car, park at garage Keizer Karel or P+R Oude Hesenlaan.

The hike is about 10km long and leads us through muddy, mysterious terrain. We expect it will take us 2.5h to 3h to complete. Midway through the sun sets which means we will finish this hike in the dark. Thrilling right? 💀🌕
We end the hike at Nijmegen Central station, but if you want to you can join for a magical brew in town to calm down your nerves.

Pack your:

- sturdy shoes or rain boots (the terrain can be muddy and wet!) 🥾
- a Halloween outfit if you feel like it 🎃
- a light dinner/snack 🍪
- water
- rain coat
- flashlight 🔦

- anything else you might need

If you signed up and cannot make it in the end, please cancel your attendance. So we know how many people will show up.
